WHAT IS ERIC THINKING PART II:
-"Did I spell my name right on my name tag?"
-"There is a bug crawling up that wall."
-"This conversation is not about olympic lifting or trying to gain weight...I'm out."
-"When was the last time I ate... I gotta get outta here, I'm losing weight"
This was ridiculous/120# -6:28
Mere- Next time we'll fast for a week before this WOD!!
Eric-Thanks for all your energy this morning
Great job this morning guys! Happy 4th everyone!
Linder - For me to get down to 105#, that would require me to stop eating for at least 6 months prior to this WOD without losing muscle mass.
CFDC Trainers - if we could have a good 6 months notice before we do this WOD again, I would be grateful. Kthxbye.
4:59 Rx'd (165#)
Neal - thanks for the lie... I mean push!
Mere - I appreciate you pimping Dean out.
TWINJ - Still got a little bit of the CrossFit cough left over from this WOD that I cannot shake. The genius of this workout is that our legs are going to be so shot for the next couple of days, getting back up to get more food or another beer at the cookout (or July 4th celebration of choice) won't be an option. Well played, sirs. Well played, indeed.
CFDC - "Programming with a Purpose"
SP & Sammy - I'll be rolling through the motherland tomorrow en route to a family reunion in Edgewood. I'll toss some almonds and veggies out the window for my homies.
Whoa, this looks scary. Is there any time cutoff? My max BS was a couple # less than body weight last time I tried it, so this could take me hours! :) Can't wait! Oh, is anyone else lucky enough to be at work today like me?
Taking day off today...boday feels pretty crap.
I think I am going to do this WOD tomorrow on my own. What can I sub for rows?
Happy 4th to all of you!
Mike, that makes me feel a little better. I didn't figure any of my banking customers would be calling today, either, but I've already had a few calls. I guess that's a good thing......I just know today is going to seem like an eternity.
Sam Z - the sub for the row was a 1 mile run
Lindsey - yeah, today is going to drag on, we're going to need to keep this blog interesting.
Random fact for the day. Shinola was a brand of shoe polish sold in the U.S. in the early 20th century...hence the phrase "doesn't know sh*t from shinola."
You're welcome!
5:04 @ 95#
Justin - nice meeting you and good suggestion on changing my shoes. you killed it.
Dean - thanks for encouraging me through the rowing and the tips on my form.
We're playing some pickup hoops this morning at 10 am if anyone wants to join. 7202 NW Highway. Come see Stephen White bring the thunder!
First of all I just wanted to say thanks to the crew at Dallas Central for letting me workout this morning. Great spot with solid people. Special thanks to Eric, Dean, and especially Anna (sweetheart) for the encouragement during the WOD.
looking forward to today at noon and wishing i did not weigh 190# :)
iphone users: just found an app in the itunes store called "as Rx'd." It is made for crossfit and has a way to track times and weights of benchmark workouts, set goals, tabata timer, push your workouts to twitter, track milestones. Its worth a look. I was about to buy a tabata timer for .99 but instead think I'll get this one. Its $4.99. Check it out. Seems cool. We shall see.
Watch Scott S. on the hoops court- little do you know he was a sharp shooter for the Baylor hoops team. Scott I have been wanting to get mixed up in some hoops so please keep posting times...
To much wine and steak last night but coming to see the Nooner's regardless (bringing Lil' Wayne)....
Had a good crossfit day so far- Lil' and I had a late breakfast at Kozy- I had grass fed scramble and he had short stack....
Went to Corridior Crossfit Iowa City the gym was definetly different, the Crossfit coach was awesome and very welcoming but the mental aspect is totally different. Makes me realize how awesome our box is!
The WOD was 5 rounds of max rep bench press, 40yds Bear Crawl, 5 jackknives (forward and both sides) followed by 300yrds (yes YARDS lol)... no body timed or kept track of reps... so I felt silly doing it...have no idea how long it took but we finished around 25min pure guesss, they also don't do a warm up or have dessert... excited to get back!
From my besty Sara - Not all Crossfits are created equal, I'm bringing her to CFDC next time she is in Texas!
Just finished ballin at Highland Rucker Park with Cave, Chase, Dean, White and Sexton.
White and Sexton have some mad game!! Great bball IQ too. Great run guys.
Dean equals Trajon Langdon.
I'm jealous of Lil' Wayne's breakfast. Pancakes sound awesome right now!! Koy, can you deliver some to my office when you get a chance? You might as well since you aren't working today. :)
6:40something
Tried a few reps with 115#, was a no go, so I did it with 95# (I should have done it with at least 100#! Wasn't thinking straight or else I would have stuck 5# on each end. Next time.)
Awesome job nooners, and I'm so glad Erica was there to push me through those last 5 reps of squats and last 300m of rowing. I don't think I would have been able to do it without her encouraging me and really pushing me past the discomfort/exhaustion. Thanks, Erica!! :)
Have a safe, happy Fourth of July, everyone!
Erica- I'm an a-hole, I'm so so sorry... Next time I'll just aim for your head ; )
The Nooner was huge today! Great seeing old and new faces!
155(90% BW)
Row- 3:44 per Neal (thanks for the push btw)
Total- we'll say 6 flat, but think I was a lil quicker
I have taken my place in the office, joining Lindsey and Mike!
Great energy today at noon - good to see all the a.m./p.m. people I don't usually get to.
This was my first Crossfit WOD back in October, so I decided to use the same weight - 75#. Old time: 7:48. New time: 5:59.
Love this gym. Thanks for the warmup Neal, and all the support and encouragement, everyone! Nice meeting you, Carin - good luck at the tri. Have a Happy Fourth of July, all!
Jamie/Lindsey - wow, tell me this isn't just a ridiculous day to be working. I think I just got to the end of the internet, there is nothing left to see...
Thanks, Lindsey! It is a ridiculous day to be working. Glad you're out soon! Mike, you probably know about both of these, but have you ever checked out www.failblog.org or www.fupenguin.com? They're both hilarious. Both of you have a great weekend and a Happy Fourth!
Kind of cool posting from my cell phone....thanks for welcoming me today Nooners'. Roosters I promise to be back next week.
6:09-125#'s
Crossfit may be the best cure for a hangover. Speaking of that, going to see The Hangover tonight.
Happy Fourth to all
Happy 4th everyone! Crossfit Austin was closed today so I rented a Kayak and rowed town lake from stem to stern-3 hours and change. Am completely whipped.
BTW- the Hotel Saint Cecilia is the coolest hotel I have ever stayed at- check it out next time your in Austin. Unreal.
See everyone Monday
8:26 total... that was a lot harder than i thought it would be.
Have an awesome 4th of July everyone!!! Hope yall have something more exciting to do than the nothing I have planned.
Ladies and gents...please let me know if anyone is planning any extra-curricular WOD-like activity on Sunday.
I am going to do Friday's WOD on Saturday but wanted to do something on Sunday.
Let me know if anyone has any interest.

Went to Crossfit Epic in Iowa City... Great coach Jason Jameson, he knows Anthony and Spence, he was a judge at the qualifiers. Loved it!
WOD
100m lunges
800m sprint
100 airsquats
10:32
Barbie? So glad you joined! I generally try to shoot for the Rooster workout at 6am, but sometimes the 6pm instead.
Today's WOD:
Sprint Tri for time. 1:38:33, with split improvements in all 3 sports over my 6/13 tri (and no knee issues)!
right on Sam Z. The playground WOD was win! I would not mind doing that on a normal crossfit day just to mix it up. So fun. Maybe even incorporate the slide next time either running up it or sliding down.
20 rounds - 5 pullups, 5 pushups, 5 bench jumps, 5 air squats
19:31.
Indeed Dave. We can also do swings for max reps and even height.
How about monkey bars for time?
I can't remember my time. I think it was right at 18 mins. I do know it was a lot of fun. Thanks again!
