Thought I was having a hard time, then, looked over to Scot Sexton, who is in the middle of a wicked nose bleed. Brother Scot looks at Tolbert, shakes his head, walks to his bar, and busts out the remaining two rounds without a hitch, stopping occasionally to while the blood onto his shirt.
Zero whining allowed in this gym. Scot is an example to us all.

Frustration! Got to the box to warm up a do wod 1, got loose and before I could do one lift I pulled something in my neck. I feel like I've been on a car wreck. Sitting in whole foods hoping the therapist can help me before the wod tonight. We will see! :(

Sammy, I couldnt agree more, it was pure greatness watching Scott blaze through this WOD with blood running down his face. No excuses.
thanks for the kind words Sam. the Nix brothers have created an awesome culture in the box where when you start a workout you don't focus on anything but finishing regardless of how your body feels. CFDC is an incredible place because of your vision. i'm inspired each and every day by the intensity and performance of our athletes -- especially those i see training their tails off for sectionals.

forgot to mention that I got my first true muscle up today (from a hanging position). i honestly questioned whether or not i would ever be able to do one when i walked in the doors last summer.
i'm learning that we can do so much more than we ever thought possible if we just commit to steadily sticking with it here at the box.

Frustrating night - guess that's what a busy week / missed WODs gets me. DNF - cut off right at the end of my 2nd round. Yep, that's right, almost 12 minutes for 2 rounds, with lots of time spent staring at the pull-up bar (and at least 2 questionable reps). I would've kept on until I finished, but the next heat needed the rings. Disheartening to say the least.
