2012 CrossFit Games Season
02-15-2012

Calling all Crossfit Dallas Central Athletes:
Starting next Saturday (February 25th) until March 25th, we will be participating in a world-wide celebration of Crossfit: what we do on a day-in day-out basis! Gym's all over the world, that call Crossfit their fitness program, will be participating and submitting their scores for this 5-week, online workout, in a chance to qualify individually and teams to the 2012 World CrossFit Games held in Carson, CA.
But more than just scores and qualifiers, we are in it to build a stronger CrossFit community and have a ton of fun. To further the celebration, we are pairing up with Crossfit Deep Ellum & Crossfit 214 to make it an even bigger party!
The schedule will look like this:
Feburary 25th : Crossfit Deep Ellum
March 3rd: Crossfit Dallas Central
March 10th: Crossfit Dallas Central
March 17th: Crossfit 214
March 24th: Crossfit Deep Ellum
Each week, starting at 8AM - approximately 12PM, we will be running the "opens-qualifier" workout for that week at that corresponding box.
Come out & be apart of the community. There are only two things you have to do:
1) register online at: https://games.crossfit.com/mygames/
It's only 20 bucks to register and participate all 5 weeks!
2) Come out each week and get a Saturday workout in! This is the only workout all three gyms will be doing on that day for the next 5 weeks. You do the workout, help out at each box with some judging, submit a time online (just like writing a time on the white board) & be a part of the fellowship and community that makes our gym and CrossFit special!

Here at CrossFit Dallas Central, we are constantly in pursuit of excellence. In our efforts to produce the healthest and fittest athletes, we have devised a quantifiable method of tracking your progression. Below you'll find four different developmental levels, ranging from a beginner athlete fresh out of our On-Ramp to a seasoned CrossFitter.
The rules are simple:
- A coach needs to be present to sign off on a completed skill, or submit us via e-mail a video of you completing the skill
- Keep some kind of record, via log book or spreadsheet, a coach will need to see ALL of your metrics before passing you to the next level
- Upon completion of any level, you'll be rewarded with a special edition t-shirt and wrist band to let all your fellow athletes know your skill set!
The skill standards for each level are as follows; we'll also have these posted in the gym for all to witness:
LEVEL I (white shirt)
You'll have the opporunity to test these both in the group class (as part of the general programming) and on your own (as long as it fits the standards listed above).
Good luck and happy skill hunting!

Burgundy Pasture Beef
01-01-2011
Hey everyone, remember we still have phenomenal access to some of the best grass-fed beef around. Follow these instructions below to get your meat delivered to the gym. It's a great service so let's really start taking advantage of the great partnership we have.
1) How to order:
Go online to Burgundy Beef and follow their instructions on creating an account. Then when you get to the end of the order, there will be a box that you can type comments into. HERE IS WHERE YOU PUT: "PLEASE DELIVER TO CROSSFIT DALLAS CENTRAL, 5631 DYER St."
2) How to pay:
After you order, they will call you to get your credit card information. From that point on, your orders will be taken from that card. NOTE: WE AT CFDC WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY MONEY/ORDERS. It's all through Burgundy Beef, we are just a pick up location for your convenience, not a store front.
4) How to pick up:
Come by the gym either Thursday or Friday (depending on Burgundy's delivery person) and go to the freezer, grab your bag WITH YOUR NAME on it. A folder full of receipts will be next to the freezer if you care to pick up your paperwork. We will update you guys on when the meat arrives, and hopefully lock down a day of the week if we order enough. So check the blog, for more than one reason.
So here's to another first brought to you by CFDC. Grass-fed meat at your gym. Ask for that the next time you are at Globo Gym.
end transmission.
