Spencer Nix
Spencer is a Crossfit Level II instructor, USA-Weightlifting Level 1 Club Coach, certified as a strength and conditioning coach through the NSCA, and a member of the CrossFit HQ Certification Staff. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University and a master's of science degree in neuroscience and cognition from UT Dallas.
Sam Nix
Sam is a CrossFit Level I, Run and Endurance, Nutrition (Robb Wolf), Olympic Lifting, and Basic Barbell coach, as well as a USA Weightlifting Club Coach, and in the midst of his OPT-CCP Level I. Sam has a triple major from SMU in cultural anthropology/sociology/psychology. Sam has a passionate love-hate relationship with the Schwinn Airdyne.
Chase Ingraham
Chase is a Crossfit Level I & Endurance instructor, Ironman Triathlete & 2010 Crossfit Games Competitor. He has a double major from SMU in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics and was captain of the 2006 Men's Swim Team. He has 10 years of triathlon & swimming coaching experience. Chase believes that Crossfit prepares you to conquer all of life's challenges.
Dean Xu
Dean is a Crossfit Level I Instructor and USA-Weightlifting Level I Club Coach. His education includes a Bachelor's degree in Biology & Music from Texas A&M University, where he also continued into a Master's of Science in Nutrition. Dean is a graduate from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dean also runs [xulab] design studio.
Corey Russell
Corey is a Crossfit Level I instructor & Olympic lifting coach. He graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, majoring in Chemistry with a focus in Management. In addition, Corey enjoys water sports and doing the burpee mile. Corey has tried many different forms of strength & conditioning and has found Crossfit to be the best program for improving all facets of fitness.
Jonathan Harris
Jonathan is a Crossfit Level 1 Instructor. Graduating from Sam Houston State with a degree in marketing, he was co-captain of the men’s track & field team from 2006-08; running the 400m hurdles & 200m dash. He also works as a footwear specialist at Luke’s Locker. He enjoys listening to music & olympic lifting & owes Crossfit to continuing his love for athletics & competing.
Amber Cortese
Amber is a Crossfit Level I Instructor, NSCA Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and a US Rowing Level II Coach. She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Spanish, and a master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from SMU. As a member of the SMU row team, she earned MVP in her 1st year. She is currently a strength & conditioning coach for SMU and coaches collegiate/high school rowing.
Andrew Key
Andrew is a Crossfit Level I Instructor and a former Texas A&M University football walk-on, starting as a senior at tight end. After completing school, Andrew has travelled the world with his wife, Mary, and along the way, picked up knowledge about healthy foods, good French wine, and a mean game of sand volleyball. He credits Crossfit to the personal transformations physcially and mentally since collegiate sports.
Julianne "Julz" Kennedy
Julz is a Crossfit Level 1 Instuctor and a two-time Big 12 Champion and All American Div. 1 Heptathlete from Texas Tech. She holds BS degrees in Exercise & Sports Sciences (TTU) and Nursing (TWU). She is currently a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse at Parkland Hospital. After ACL recostructive surgery, she credits Crossfit to being the best mode of regaining fitness, community, friendly competition, and relationships after collegiate sports.
James "Toge" Hugo
Toge is a Crossfit Level I Instructor. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Economics & minor in Business, all while being a four year letterman in football as a tight-end and earning All-Pac-10 honors as a senior. He is currently a project manager for a medical software corporation. Toge enjoys trail running, and lifting heavy objects. Crossfit has helped him continue his competitive spirit and ongoing desire to learn new sports.
