About Me:
I am a former professional ballet and modern dancer. You can see me in M. Night Shyamalan's 2004 film, "The Village." At 19, I developed acute symptoms from celiac disease that went undiagnosed through 30+ doctors. I returned home to Texas from New York and was finally diagnosed by a doctor in Richardson - after my kidneys and liver failed and my goals of pursuing dance professionally were shot.
I decided to go to college. I obtained a BA in Religious Studies from SMU in 2 years. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Divinity at Perkins School of Theology at SMU. I am in my final year of academic work, next year I hope to do a research internship in Nazareth, Galilee, Israel. I visited the Holy Land for the first time 2 years ago and fell in love with Palestinian Christianity. I lived there from May 2009-August 2009 and really feel called to serve there and help to preach peace in Christ's hometown.
While I was in the Holy Land, it became glaringly obvious how unhealthy I had become in the 4 years since I stopped dancing. I had basically gone from being an elite dancer in New York to quitting and eating everything in sight. Basically one extreme to the other. I am now aiming for moderation. If I am to serve in Galilee and the Middle East, I need to be able to walk long distances through hills, climb 10' security fences (in an ankle length skirt) to visit Christian families imprisoned in the Palestinian Territories, and generally be in good health so I can commit all of myself to spreading the good news of Christ's Kingdom on earth.
I heard about Crossfit through my cousin. She trains with it at the US Naval Academy. My brother and his wife picked it up and are now trainers in New London, CT in conjunction with the Coast Guard Academy. Now that I have joined, it is a matter of time before my other brother in the Airforce starts Crossfit. Another possible longterm goal of mine is to become a military chaplain so both my older brothers have to salute me, though this may be incompatible with another goal of mine to join Sea Shepherd.
Short Term Goals:
1. Get to a healthy weight and adopt a healthy diet and exercise program.
2. Serve as a Christian missionary in West Bank and Gaza for an indefinite period of time.

1. Look hot for my ordination to the priesthood.
